Project TitlePathways into and through the health and aged care system for people with dementia
ResearchersDr Diane Gibson, Professor Tony Broe, Dr Brian Draper, Professor Len Gray, Ms Ann Peut, Ms Cathy Hales
DescriptionThe natural course of dementia can have a profound effect on decisions surrounding the timing and pathways of formal service intervention. The project will undertake a systematic review of the evidence on pathways into and through the health and aged care system and their implications for the quality of life of people with dementia and their families and carers. The review will provide the basis for identifying the policy and practice implications and for developing proposals to assist with the translation of this evidence into improved care for people with dementia.
