Associate Professor Victoria Traynor

Associate Professor Traynor is the Director of the newly established Eastern Australia Dementia Training Study Centre (EADTSC). This Centre was developed with funding of $3.4 million awarded from the Department of Health & Ageing. This work will complement dementia research activities which Associate Professor Traynor is leading with the area health service and other academic partners. She is also led the development of the newly established post graduate multi-disciplinary programme of studies in aged and rehabilitation which can lead to either a Graduate Certificate or Master of Science in Gerontology & Rehabilitation Studies. The position within the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health, which Associate Professor Traynor took up in February 2006, is a joint initiative between the University of Wollongong and South Eastern Sydney and Illawarra Area Health Service to develop an academic focus to aged and rehabilitation services in the region.
