| Description | This project examines recently published research and grants relating to dementia conducted in Australia, or by Australian researchers. The aim is to describe the strengths and weaknesses of Australian research and with the assistance of Alzheimer’s Australians Medical and Scientific panel. The amount of research funding for dementia will be compared to other chronic diseases relative to disease burden and to per capita investment in dementia research by other developed nations. This information will help policy makers plan future dementia research funding. |
