Dr Yun-Hee Jeon
Dr Yun-Hee Jeon (RN, MHN, BHSc (Nursing), MN, PhD) is a Fellow at the Australian Primary Health Care Research Institute and Research Director (ACT) for the Serious and Continuing Illness: Policy and Practice Study (SCIPPS). She has experience in clinical practice as a registered nurse, and tertiary teaching in Korea and Australia. She is also a credentialed mental health nurse.
The main areas of her research include chronic illness management, nursing workforce, dementia care, mental health, respite care, and qualitative research methodology. Recently, she has been involved in local and international collaborative projects in the aged care/dementia areas, with a particular focus on improving quality of life for people with dementia and the care they receive, and developing a suite of dementia outcome measurement.
Yun-Hee is a member of the nursing care node for the Primary Dementia Collaborative Research Centre and serves on its Advisory Committee. She is an active member of Research Board of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses Inc., and participates in numerous national and international professional organisations within mental health nursing, gerontology and psychogeriatrics.
