Professor Patrick Crookes
Professor Crookes is Dean of the Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences and Head, School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health at the University of Wollongong. In July 2006, he headed up the successful DoAH bid for the Eastern Australia Dementia Training Study Centre and became the National Project Co-ordinator for the Dementia Training Study Centres in Australia. His main teaching responsibilities focus on Research Appreciation and Application Skills, Reflective Practice, Critical Appraisal, and Grief and Bereavement. Professor Crookes is the lead applicant on research grants in the following areas Aged and Dementia Care, Clinical Leadership, Evidence Based Practice, with a particular focus on mechanisms for translating research findings into practice.
