Dr Nicolas Cherbuin

Dr Nicolas Cherbuin is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Mental Health Research at the ANU working on a collaborative project between Alzheimer’s Australia Research and CMHR.

Nicolas’s background is in cognitive psychology. His PhD thesis focused on individual variables affecting the efficiency of cognitive resource recruitment across the cerebral hemispheres.

Nicolas’s main area of research is the identification of the risk and protective factors of cognitive ageing and dementia. He is collaborating on a large longitudinal ageing project: the PATH through life study and is also involved in the processing and analysis of MRI data. Other research interests include laterality, handedness, and gender differences.
